Red Hawks,

 

As we begin our 11th year as Red Hawks, there are lots of changes.  I believe that going to the 4 X 4 Block schedule is a huge win for our students.  This schedule will allow us in JROTC to teach more of the elective hands-on subjects that we did not have time for in the past.  All fall semester classes, LET 1-4 A, will include our core curriculum subjects along with some exciting electives such as Orienteering and Rifle Marksmanship. 

 

Our spring Blocks 1-4 B, will include PE/Wellness, Government, and Personal Finance (which are required subjects for graduation in Tennessee).  In both semesters and throughout the school year we will still conduct Uniform Inspections & Drill on Thursdays and PT or Physical Training on Fridays. 

 

This year we will only have two Companies: A & B.  Since all cadets will not be able to be together in one class period, we will have monthly "Battalion Meetings" where our Red Hawk Battalion will be in formation unually in the Aux Gym.  It this meeting we will be in uniform and company formations.  It is a time for us to be together as a Battalion and present awards and recognize accomplishments.

 

We continue to offer many extracurricular activities:  Raiders, Rifle, Drill, Robotics, Academic Team, Color Guard, and Honor Guard.  We are blessed to have county leagues for most of these teams to compete.

All cadets will pay a course fee of $60.00 this year.  Once paid, students will receive a t shirt and shorts for PE/PT classes and a polo shirt used for our various activities.  See my links to make payment.
