Good evening SCHS Band Members and Families,
Here is your Monday Night Rundown for the week of May 10:
Congratulations to the SCHS Band Class of 2021!
We wanted to take a moment to give a big shoutout to the SCHS Band Class of 2021! With graduation taking place this Wednesday, we wanted to send our best wishes and a special thank you for all the wonderful memories. A special congratulations to SCHS Band Members who achieved valedictorian status: Sydney Boyce, Paige Smith, and Lauren Williams.
Calling all SCHS Band Members Interested in Leadership for 2021-2022
Any returning SCHS Band member in grades 10-12 during the 2021-2022 school year who are interested in student leadership opportunities should check their RCS school email for more information. Those interested will need to fill out the online form. Please read all the information carefully and make sure to pay attention to all deadlines.
SCHS Band Student Activity Statements
SCHS Band Activity Statements have been emailed out to parents. Please check your statements carefully and email the band office if you see a discrepancy or have any questions.
SCHS Drumline Training Continues
All SCHS Band percussion section members new and returning for the 2021-2022 school year will need to attend drumline training. Dates and times are as follows:
Thur. May 13, 4-6 PM (Instrument Placement)
Fri. May 14, 4-6 PM
Color Guard Training Continues
Prospective new and returning members of the color guard will need to attend color guard training and auditions. Dates and times are as follows:
Tue. May 11, 4-6 PM
Thur. May 13, 4-6 PM
Fri. May 14, 4-6 PM (auditions)
Tue. May 18, 4-6:30 PM (meeting for the 2021-2022 color guard)
SCHS Band Drum Major Training Continues
Any returning SCHS Band member for the 2021-2022 school year are welcome to attend these training sessions and to audition. Dates and times are as follows:
Tue. May 11, 3:45 - 5:00 PM
Mon. May 17, 3:45 - 5:00 PM
