Stewarts Creek Television (SCTV) has been nominated for a National Student Production Award by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences — the parent organization of the Emmy Awards.
Following its Mid-South Student Production Award win in the spring, SCTV’s project advanced to national competition, joining more than 1,700 other entries. Only four were selected in the Headline News Report category.
The recognized project was a collaborative effort between SCTV and Kevin Welch’s team at Stewarts Creek Middle School.
“Winners will be announced in the coming weeks,” Stewarts Creek AV Production teacher Chris Bissinger said. “The nomination itself is a tremendous honor.”
