Three troupes of theater arts students competed in the Tennessee History Day District group performance competition on Friday, February 24. Each group wrote an original 10 minute play based their research of a chosen topic.
Alex Copely, Aubreyana Crawford, Javarius Lewis, & Keri Nelson-Montgomery placed 3rd with their play about Emmett Till.
Amber Yun, Stephanie Martinez, Lizbeth Campos, & Jaylin Witherspoon placed 2nd with their play about the Scopes Trials.
Bri Guydon & C J Conley placed 1st with their play about the Birmingham Church bombings.
The first two places advance to the state competition on April 8th.
