Here is your Monday Night Rundown (MNR) for the week of September 11, 2023:

- 9/11 Teacher Admin Day – No School
- 9/12 SCMS Band Homecoming Performance in the stands - 6:30 PM Optional for band students who attended SCMS
- 9/15 Home Football Game – vs. Cane Ridge HS (8th Grade Band Night)

ASR's This Week
This Tuesday's ASR (9/12/2023) will end at 5:45 PM so that students who attended Stewarts Creek Middle School can get to the stadium to perform with the Stewarts Creek Middle School Band in the stands for their homecoming. Students will need to wear their black SCHS Band Uniform Shirt and their choice of pant/shorts and athletic shoes.
The Thursday (9/14/2023) ASR will end as normal at 6:30 PM. This rehearsal will take place in the stadium.
Home Game Performance: Vs. Cane Ridge HS & 8th Grade Band Night
This Friday's home game will work a little differently, due to the rehearsal with the 8th grade band students. All SCHS Band members will remain on campus following the 3:30 PM Dismissal. At that time all SCHS Band members will change into their black shirt/red shorts and athletic shoes or marching band shoes. Our rehearsal with the 8th grade band members and our soundcheck will take place at 4:00 PM. All band members will be fed a pizza dinner following the rehearsal in the cafeteria. Following dinner, SCHS Band members will change into their dress uniform and will get ready for inspection, and follow the standard home football game day protocols.
Parents - Because this is a home game, we will not need any parent chaperones or any help in the cafeteria this week.
SCHS Band Hosts the TN Division II State Marching Band Championship
As discussed at the band registration meeting on July 15, 2023, the SCHS Band program has been selected to serve as site hosts for the 42nd Annual TN Division II State Marching Band Championship (SMBC). We need help from all families in order to make this day successful.
The first thing we need is contest sponsorships. There are over 50 + business in and around the Smyrna and Murfreesboro area that would gladly serve as sponsors. There are four (4) levels of sponsorship designed so businesses can find an amount that works. Band Parents - find out if your place of employment would serve as a sponsor. All proceeds go to help offset the costs of the contest. Help support the contest and offset the costs of participation for your child. Each year we get emails from area businesses who were never asked to serve as a sponsor but would like to in the future. The link below will take you to the sponsorship form.
