SCHS Band - MNR: October 31, 2022

Good Evening SCHS Band Members and Families,

Here is your Monday Night Rundown (MNR) for the week of October 31:
 
TN Division II SMBC - Critical Update
Calling all band parents - We are 4 days away from this event and we still have several positions that need to be filled and items donated. The difference between a $10,000 day and a $30,000 is you! Hosting the Tennessee Division II State Marching Band Championship is a huge honor and undertaking. The smallest things make the biggest differences. 
 
As of tonight we have NO parents signed up for evening concessions or tickets sales, and we need parents to sign-up to work parking. We also have NO parent help for Sunday clean-up and tear-down. Additionally, we still need donated items. Please sign up. 
 
The vote for site host is voted on by the directors of this contest and we are in competition with schools in surrounding counties who also have turf fields who would like to host this event. Please help us make this event a success by clicking the two links below:

Band Composite Photos
The band members will have their individual photos taken for the band composite on November 3, 2022. There are no make-ups for this date. Order forms will be sent home. There is no requirements to buy photos and there is a money back guarantee.

Concert Attire Fittings
Concert attire fittings will take place this week in class. All members in their first year of participation will be fitted for new concert attire which will be their set to own and manage throughout their time in the program.
 
For retuning members we ask that concert attire is found and tried on. If there are any changes needed due to growth or if attire has been lost, those students will need to see Ms. Burton or Mr. Chester for concert attire fittings.

  • Freshmen - 2 six packs of 16 oz. bottles of Dr. Pepper
  • Sophomores - 2 six packs of 16 oz. bottles of Coca-Cola
  • Juniors - 2 six packs of 16 oz. bottles of Sprite
  • Seniors - 2 six packs of 16 oz. bottles of Diet-Coke
Student can bring their two six-packs of 16 oz. bottles to the band room anytime.
