This Week's Events on the Band Calendar: 

The last week of school has been busy for the SCHS Band, from the movie shoot to the TMEA All-State conference and performances. As we wrap-up one school year, we also simultaneously prepare for the next. This week we have color guard training auditions. Starting in May, we have percussion training and placements, band leadership training and drum major training (open to all students who are interested in serving their band program). Not to mention the return of our private lessons studio recitals. The band will also perform its last service performance of the year - the commencement exercises for the class of 2023 which will take place at the MTSU Murphy Center. This ensemble will consist of all symphonic band & wind ensemble sophomores and juniors and selected percussion. More information and a gig sheet will be emailed in subsequent Monday Nigh Rundowns.

 

Just a friendly reminder that we ask students to notify us via text message if they are going to be absent from school. This helps us to ensure accurate attendance records for all the band members and is also a soft job skill that we are trying to teach students so that they will be successful in their communication skills with their future college or workforce professionalism.
