I want to welcome everyone to this new and unique school year. English III might not look the way we were hoping, but it's my sincere desire that we make the best of it. Flexibility and grace are my two favorite words for this school year.

 

You will find several important resources attached to this post. Please review all of them. They are vital for all of my students, whether you are in class or a distance learner. We have a new textbook, a new curriculum, and a new way of posting assignments. 

 

As a brief explanation, the school is using the website Kiddom as our hub to give assignments. From Kiddom, I might direct you to Microsoft Teams or the online textbook called Savvas Realize. I might also merely ask you to write something in Microsoft One Drive and share it with me. All of these instructions will be given in Kiddom. 

 

Students - It is imperative that you regularly check your school email, that you have your correct login information for Kiddom, and that you have your correct login information for the Savvas Realize textbook (see attached information for access to all of these).

 

Parents - Please be sure to check your email regularly. I do not plan to send many emails, but they might show up from time to time. Watch for emails from [email protected]

 

Students and parents - Please be assured that I will do my best to keep everyone informed as to my expectations, assignment due dates, etc. I am confident that I will change the way I do things as I figure out how all of this works. I ask for the same grace and understanding from you that I will give to each of my students.
