2022 XC Season Wrap Up:
The Lady Red Hawks completed another successful season this year. Led by Bella King and Kylie Gray, the team qualified for the TSSAA State Championships for the third consecutive year by placing third in the Region IV Championships. At state, Bella had the highest individual finish by a female in school history, finishing 20th out of 198 runners. Bella and Kylie were also honored by the Mid-State Cross Country Association (MSCCA) for the second year in a row. The MSCCA recognizes the top athletes in the mid-state by taking the runner’s combined finish times from the Voyles Classic and the Mid State Championships during the regular season.
The Stewarts Creek men’s cross-country team had its most successful season in school history. They earned two first place finishes and placed 5th at the Region IV Championships, which was the highest ever finish for the gentlemen at that meet. Two men qualified for the TSSAA State Championships, Gran Sexton and Nate Mitchell. Having more than one state qualifier in the men’s division was also a first for the Red Hawks.
