WHAT WILL I LEARN IN SPANISH TWO? In Spanish two, you will demonstrate mastery of the basic fundamentals of the Spanish language, literature, and culture. Upon those fundamental building blocks, you will learn intermediate grammar, vocabulary, and communication skills.
WHAT TYPE OF WORKLOAD SHOULD I EXPECT? Acquiring a new language takes more than 45 minutes a day. The best way to learn a language is to use it as frequently as possible. Therefore, expect a short nightly assignments. Also, to be able to use the language you must learn new vocabulary. Therefore, it is HIGHLY suggested that you study your vocabulary for at least ten minutes each night. This will help you avoid having to “cram” for tests, and enable you to retain the vocabulary. This class is cumulative, which means everything builds upon the material you have already learned. If you fall behind, you must learn prior material in order to understand what we are currently working on. You will be expected to demonstrate mastery of all concepts through SPEAKING, LISTENING, READING, and WRITING.

Assignments: All practice assignments must be turned in into the teacher on the appropriate due date. Make-up assignments are your responsibility. You may retrieve your assignments from the make-up folder
Make-Up Work Policy: it is the responsibility of the student to obtain specific assignments from the Make-Up folder. All make-up work must be completed within the number of days that were missed up to a maximum of five (5) days. It is expected that the work will be made up outside the regular class time. This includes days missed due to a field trip or other school sanctioned activities. The time to complete the work may be lengthened at the teacher’s discretion.
ALL STUDENTS WILL COMPLETE ALL ASSIGNMENTS! If you owe me work, the ICU system will let you know. Please complete these missing assignments in a timely manner as they are assigned to prepare you for upcoming quizzes, tests and class activities. If student is distance learning, they must do all their work the week that it is assigned. Each weekly assignments have due dates that have to be met.
Tardies: A tardy should be defined as arriving to school or class after the scheduled time. A student who is tardy to school must immediately report to the front office, before reporting to class. A student who is tardy to class, must report to the Tardy Machine before arriving to class. If a distance learning student does not turn in their work the week that it was assigned, their work will be considered tardy.
