About Mr. Woods

Hello students! So glad to have you in my class this year and looking forward to the challenges and the triumphs of this year.

OK, time for the facts.

This is my 8th year teaching, I've been at Stewart's Creek High School my entire career and love what I do.
I graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2015.
I am currently finishing up my Master's Degree at MTSU and plan to graduate December 2022.
I'm got married on Sept. 30th, 2017 to my beautiful wife, Gretchen. Top picture: This photo was from our honeymoon in Greece (Fall 2017). Bottom picture: This photo is from Arrington Vineyards (Spring 2022)
I have an orange cat named Cooper who likes to sleep a lot. (Middle picture)
My interests include sports, music, gaming, education, food/cooking, style, travel, fitness, and, obviously, MATH!
I love ALL math but I my absolute favorite is Statistics!
My favorite things to watch are YouTube and Twitch gaming streams.
I played tennis in high school and now I coach tennis for SCHS. I also, plan to help out the middle school team this fall.
Star Wars is the greatest movie of all time and if you haven't watched it you are living a half-life. You will notice I will have a few Star Wars items in my room.
I wear a tie only Monday-Wednesday.
I learned how to play the Ukulele summer 2016. It's a good way to relieve stress and have fun with friends. I have played for my classes before and in the senior variety show the past 5 years.
I played football in High School but before that I was a promising trumpet player from 5th-9th grade. I just got too big I guess. I'm 6'6" by the way.
I love teaching!
I care about my students and want them to succeed!
