Graduation Performance - Sunday, May 19, 2024 - 7:00 PM
We are excited to serve Stewarts Creek High School by providing live music for the Commencement Exercises at the MTSU Murphy Center on Sunday, May 19, 2024. All woodwind and brass players in grades 9-11, along with selected 9th-11th grade percussion will perform at this event. We will meet at 3:30 PM dressed in concert attire (Wind Ensemble gentlemen will wear black/red-ties/tux pants). After a brief rehearsal and soundcheck, we will depart via RCS school buses to MTSU's Murphy Center. Please click the link below to access the gig sheet which contains more information.

Last call for tickets - It is important to note that all band students must place a ticket order for themselves (or a parent can do so too). We see a few instances where two parents have purchased tickets for themselves but their child has not registered for their comp ticket.

The SCHS Band Awards Night Celebration and Banquet will take place on Friday, May 10, 2024 at 7PM in the SCHS Main Gym. This event will celebrate the achievements of the SCHS Band Members and will be an opportunity for us to properly honor the band senior class of 2024 as they prepare for graduation.

 

This will be a special night and we encourage any and all family members that wish to attend this event to do so. This will be a dress up occasion and will be a great opportunity for photos where everyone looks their best.

 

While the event is not required, it is highly encouraged. All current band members will receive a free ticket. Tickets for everyone will be $30.00. Children 12 and under will be $15.00. Everyone attending must have a ticket. Our ticketing platform will be TicketsCandy and payments for tickets can be paid for with a credit/debit card. Band members who plan to attend will need to use the platform to get their complimentary ticket.

 

For those who wish to pay by check, there is a special coupon code: PAYBYCHECK that will need to be entered. Checks will need to be made payable to the SCHS Music Boosters and not the school. 

 

We will need to submit a final headcount to the caterer by Monday, May 6. Payment by check will be due to the band office by this date.

 

 

For those seniors who will study fine arts in college (either as a major or minor) and who will receive a scholarship should click the link below to register for the fine arts signing day. Like our athletic counterparts, the signing day will be a great way for our academy to celebrate the accomplishments of the senior class of 2024.

 

This event will take place at SCHS in the theater. Parents are encouraged to attend and to join your child on the stage for the signing day photos. Click the link below for more information.

 

 

The month of May will be here soon and with it will come the series of studio recitals. We affectionately refer to this as May Madness. Please check the calendar below. While there are no brackets to fill out for this one, we encourage everyone to come out and support the SCHS Band members who will perform as soloists in the next couple of weeks.

 

Just a friendly reminder that Stewarts Creek High School will no longer take checks after April 30, 2024. Any payments made after this date will need to be with credit/debit card or cash/money order.

 

We currently have 58 student accounts that are past due and our ability to finish the year strong depends on these accounts being paid in full.
