Welcome to Stewarts Creek High School's Songwriting Unit Page
SCHS guitar students also experience the art of songwriting. A huge thank you to the Country Music Hall of Fame for their wonderful Words and Music Program! At the end of the unit, students create their own lyrics that are then sent to the CMHF. The museum then sends the students lyrics to Nashville songwriters who bring the lyrics to life by adding the musical element to their lyrics. Students enjoy a guided tour of the museum and spend an hour with their songwriter who talks through their process and performs the lyrics the students wrote. It is an incredible experience! Check back for the Fall 2023 songs and the Spring 2024 songs.

Songwriting Tune-Up was created to offer budding songwriters the opportunity to build on the skills gained in Words & Music.
