Class Fees
Student activity statements were emailed to parents on 11/30/2020. We ask that parents make arrangements to pay any remaining balances as soon as possible.

Mid-State Band Auditions - Videos Due by 12/03/2020
Just a friendly reminder that video submissions for auditions to the MTSBOA Mid-State Band are due this week by Thursday, December 3, by 11:59 PM. Info below for those who need it.

Here is your Monday Night Rundown for the week of November 9: (Week 5 of Q2)

SCHS Band Trip Status
We are in the process of trying to get a few items confirmed for the SCHS Band trip to Hollywood/LA which is now projected to take place in the Spring Semester of 2022. The projected time frame will be close to spring break. However RCS has not released the 2021-2022 academic calendar as of this email. In the meantime, for band members and their families who are already signed up for the trip. there is no further action to take at this time. For band members and their families who did not sign-up for the trip last year, we will have a new trip kick-off meeting (either virtual or in-person) at a later time next semester. As we continue to get information, we will keep everyone informed.

Tennessee Governor's School for the Arts
Band members currently in grades 10 or 11 who are interested in auditioning for the Tennessee Governor's School for the Arts should click the following link. Make sure to read the form correctly. Here is your Monday Night Rundown for the week of November 2: (Week 4 of Q2)

SCHS Band Members - Check Your School Email Regularly.
This is a friendly reminder for all SCHS Band members to check their school (and personal) email everyday. We want to make sure that SCHS Band members are always in the "know", especially when it relates to academics and ongoing information related to SCHS. 

For band related information, we will continue to use Remind text messaging to send information in a timely manner to all band members and their families regarding weekly assignments, and other band related business.

Percussion Open Band Room - Thursday, November 5, 2020 - 3:30PM - 5:30 PM
Percussionists who are auditioning for Mid-State Concert Band, Jazz Band, Governor's School for the Arts, or for college auditions are more than welcome to join us for open band room this Thursday, Nov. 5 from 3:30 PM until 5:30 PM.

We know that the shutdown has been the most difficult for percussion members who do not have large instruments like marimbas and timpani at home to practice. Entry will take place at the "Goat Doors." Text through Remind and we will let you in. 

Mid-State Band Auditions - Last Call
Last Call for Mid-State Band audition registration. Auditions are $10.00 per entry. Cash or checks will be accepted (made payable to SCHS Band). You can mail in your payments to SCHS (check your last statement for the mailing address) or students can bring money to school on Friday, November 6, 2020.

SCHS Band Class Fees
Parents: Statements for the month of October were issued last week. Please make sure to take a look at the statements. Payments can be made via credit/debit card or you can mail check or money orders to SCHS. The mailing address can be found in the upper right-hand corner of your statement.
