Good evening SCHS Band members and Families,
Here is your Monday Night Rundown for the week of October 26: (Week 3 of Q2)
All SCHS Band Events Cancelled Until Further Notice
Stewarts Creek High School has now been moved to full distance learning. At this time all regularly scheduled rehearsals and performances are cancelled. Once we get a better idea of what a return to school will look like we will send information about future rehearsals and activities to all members and their families through Remind and e-mail. If you need any assistance with assignments or have any questions about band related business, please contact the band office through Remind for fastest service, or email us at [email protected].
SCHS Band Class Fees
Parents: Statements for the month of October will be issued this week. Please make sure to take a look at the statements. Payments can be made via credit/debit card or you can mail check or money orders to SCHS. The mailing address can be found in the upper right-hand corner of your statement.
Mid-State Band Auditions - Registration Window Closes October 30
Mid-State Band audition registration closes this Friday, October 30. Auditions are $10.00 per entry. Cash or checks will be accepted (made payable to SCHS Band). Students must be registered by Friday October 30. You can mail in your payments to SCHS (check your last statement for the mailing address).

SCHS Band - Monday Night Rundown (10-19-2020)
Good evening SCHS Band members and Families,
Here is your Monday Night Rundown for the week of October 19: (Week 2 of Q2)
Rehearsals - Week of October 19
There is no rehearsal on Tuesday, Oct. 20.
There is a Rehearsal on Thursday, Oct. 22 for our Veterans Day recording session. Rehearsal will take place in the Auxiliary Gym. Color Guard rehearsal will take place in the cafeteria. Report time will still remain as follows:
5:15 PM - Color Guard, Percussion, Drum Majors, and Field Crew
5:30 PM - All Woodwinds and Brass Sections.
*Special Note: Rehearsal on Thursday will at end at 6:45 PM. Band members will need to park in front of the football stadium and enter through the "Goat Doors." Band members may also be dropped off at the "Goat Doors." Please do not enter through the main gym doors as the State Volleyball Tournament is taking place.
Friday Night Lights - Friday, October 23, 2020
This week we play John Overton High School. Remember that students who are taking the ACT test simply need to send a Remind text message to let the directors know. They will be permitted to leave at the conclusion of the half-time performance.

Season ticket holders will need to purchase a ticket for this game as it was not part of the regular season ticket package. The link to purchase single tickets for this game can be found below:
Calendar - Month of October and Beyond
Tuesday, October 27 - Recording gig in Main Gym for Veterans Day - 5:30 PM - 6:45 PM
Thursday, October 29 - Stadium rehearsal for homecoming - 5:30 PM - 6:45 PM
Friday, October 30 - Home Football Game Vs. Smyrna (Homecoming)
A play-off game schedule has not been determined at this time. While the band will not travel to away play-off games, it is possible that SCHS may host a play-off game at home. In that scenario, the band will perform.
As football season winds down, a calendar with additional dates for SCHS Band activities for the remainder of the fall semester will be issued.
Mid-State Band Auditions - Registration Window Closes October 30
Mid-State Band audition registration will open on Tuesday, October 13. A registration link will be sent via REMIND and email. Auditions are $10.00 per entry. Cash or checks will be accepted (made payable to SCHS Band).

We hope everyone had a great fall break. Here is your Monday Night Rundown for the week of October 12: (Week 1 of Q2)
Rehearsals - Week of October 12
There are two rehearsals this week - Tues.Oct.13 & Thur. Oct 15.
Remember that rehearsal times for all Tuesday and Thursday are as follows:
5:15 PM - Color Guard, Percussion, Drum Majors, and Field Crew
5:30 PM - All Woodwinds and Brass Sections.
Rehearsals end at 7:30 PM.

Donations Needed!
We need to ask for help from our band families to take care of the SCHS Band members for the remainder of their home football game performances. We request that each class bring the following items:
Freshmen & Seniors: 1 case (24 pack) of Bottled Water (16.9 oz bottles or higher)
Sophomores & Juniors: 1 Variety Pack (18 Count or more) of chips
Smart Cards and Coupon Books
We ask that all monies or unsold cards and books be returned to the band office by Thursday, October 1.
