We are partnering with SnapRaise. This is a trusted fundraising platform designed to help programs with online donation campaigns.

 

Parents - We need you to help the band by providing up to 20 quality email addresses from friends, family members, neighbors, and anyone interested in supporting the band. SNAP! Raise never sells, shares, or spams the email addresses entered in the campaign.

 

Give these emails to your child. If possible shared easily on a phone/tablet/computer so they can quickly be copied and pasted. Emails will be generated from the student page kindly asking their supporters for a donation.

 

Students can also click a button to send a generated text message to contacts asking them to consider making a donation. Parents can also share this campaign on their own social media platforms.

 

Roughly two weeks from launch which will take place next week. This week will be used to build the student pages in class.

 

You can first watch this VERY SHORT video about how to setup the student profile and reach your supporters. It will explain how EASY this process is.

 

 

Once you've watched the video - you can get a jump start by setting up the student account and profile.

 

 

We need everyone to help us meet this goal. Every little bit helps! The beauty is there is nothing to sell, no going door-to-door, etc.

Here is your Monday Night Rundown for the week of May 10: 

 

All SCHS Band percussion section members new and returning for the 2021-2022 school year will need to attend drumline training. Dates and times are as follows:

Thur. May 13, 4-6 PM (Instrument Placement)

Fri. May 14, 4-6 PM 

 

Prospective new and returning members of the color guard will need to attend color guard training and auditions. Dates and times are as follows:

Tue. May 11, 4-6 PM

Thur. May 13, 4-6 PM

Fri. May 14, 4-6 PM (auditions)

Tue. May 18, 4-6:30 PM (meeting for the 2021-2022 color guard)

 

Any returning SCHS Band member for the 2021-2022 school year are welcome to attend these training sessions and to audition. Dates and times are as follows:

 

The SCHS Band is trying to raise $15,000.00 for a brand new, state-of-the-art sound system to take the field this fall. Will you consider helping? All we are asking is for band members/families to provide up to 20 quality email addresses from friends, family, co-workers, and even community business that would like to make a donation towards this capital fundraiser. In the next few days we will send out more information about this campaign and how you can help. No selling items, no door-to-door, just providing email addresses of those who might be willing to contribute.

• Pants do not need to be dress pants. Any kind of black pants without holes will suffice.
  
  
• Shoes do not need to be dress shoes. They should be black or as dark colored as possible and should be closed-toe.

• For band members who wear make-up: please keep it natural and not "theatrical". Please make sure that fingernail polish is either removed or is clear/natural looking.
  
  
• Jewelry may be worn as long as it is conservative and professional looking.
  
  
• For band members with facial hair: you do not need to be clean shaven but please look neat and trimmed.

 

SCHS Jazz Band - In Class Rehearsals - Thur., Apr. 29 & Fri., Apr. 30 - 1PM - 3PM
In preparation for our Jazz Cabaret, all SCHS Jazz Band members have two in-class rehearsals (these days are SCHS flex days), Thur., Apr. 29 & Fri., Apr. 30 - 1PM - 3PM.

The SCHS Jazz Band is collaborating with SCHS Red Hawk Theater students in a spring cabaret performance that will take place on Saturday, May 1 in the SCHS Courtyard. This unique setting, which will take place outside, will combine the sounds of the SCHS Jazz Band, and the unique talents of the SCHS Theater students performing songs and monologues from some well-known favorites. Bring your lawn chair and blankets and enjoy a picnic with music under the stars. Masks will be required per RCS policy. Tickets for this event are $5.00 and can be purchased by clicking the link below:

In preparation for our spring concert, all SCHS Brass and Percussion members have an ASR this Wednesday, April 21 from 3:45 PM - 5:30 PM. 

 

The SCHS Band Spring Concert is set for Tuesday, April 27, at 6:00 PM in the SCHS Main Gym. Seating for audience members will be limited to 1/3 of gym capacity.Masks will be required per RCS policy. Parents planning to attend this concert will need to fill out the RSVP form by clicking the link below:

SCHS Wind Ensemble & Symphonic Band Seniors - Recording Session (Tues. Apr. 13)
Just a friendly reminder to all members of the Wind Ensemble and all senior members of the Symphonic Band that we will have a recording session for graduation music that will take place tomorrow afternoon, Tuesday, April 13, 2021 from 3:45 PM - 5:30 PM. Students should come dressed in regular attire and will not need to wear the polo shirt. The recording session will take place in the theater.
